During the fading autumn light, I collected rhododendron leaves and branches in a Surrey woodland. Leaf shape and plant structure are fascinating and perfect for this analog photography process using UV light sensitive chemical painted directly on the paper (cyanotype). The foliage is pressed against the sheet and exposed to daylight - the blue is irresistible as the images emerges in negative form. Unframed print, 24.5 x 31.5cm, on 50% cotton Fabriano paper.
