Using the analogue photo process called cyanotype, I created a series of prints related to the sculptural mobile ‘Instrument of Thought’. The white glass shapes, reminiscent of dark matter halos plotted by scientists, float in an alluring deep blue space. Subtle contours are revealed when the sun’s UV rays wrap around the forms (including small rocks) imprinting a negative image on the paper – 3D form is compressed into 2D space.
