Created using the cyanotype photo printing process where light sensitive solution is hand painted on paper and objects (or negatives) are placed on the surface in the UV light of the sun. The print is washed and a bright white image appears where the object has blocked the light. In this case, I placed a large glass sculpture called Collapsed on the coated paper and left it outside the studio for about 15 minutes. Rigel is one of the bright stars in the constellation of Orion. It’s a young, bluish coloured star and one of the first stars I recognised as having colour when I first began stargazing.
